Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MRX-2843 + osimertinib is an investigational combination therapy consisting of two small molecule drugs. MRX-2843 is an orally bioavailable dual inhibitor of the receptor tyrosine kinases MerTK (Mer receptor tyrosine kinase) and FLT3 (Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3). It blocks ligand-dependent phosphorylation and activation of these kinases, thereby inhibiting downstream signaling pathways involved in cancer cell survival and proliferation. Osimertinib is a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively targets both EGFR-sensitizing mutations and the T790M resistance mutation found in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The combination is being studied for its potential to overcome resistance mechanisms in advanced EGFR-mutant NSCLC by simultaneously targeting multiple oncogenic pathways[1][2][6].
