Overview

The Multi-peptide vaccine (NYU Langone Health) is an experimental cancer immunotherapy designed for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma and other gliomas. Developed by NYU Langone Health, the vaccine consists of five synthetic long peptides representing T-cell epitopes of tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) frequently overexpressed in glioblastoma: EGFRvIII, IL-13Rα2, EphA2, HER2/neu, and YKL-40. The vaccine is formulated with Montanide ISA-51 VG and administered alongside poly-ICLC, a Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) agonist that serves as an immune adjuvant to enhance the activation of dendritic cells and trigger natural killer cells. In clinical settings, such as the Phase II trial NCT02078648, it is often combined with bevacizumab to target the tumor microenvironment and manage cerebral edema.
