Multi-trace elements injection (I) is a sterile, aqueous solution of essential trace elements designed for use as an additive to intravenous fluids for total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Developed and studied by institutions such as the Children's Hospital of Fudan University, it is specifically formulated to meet the metabolic requirements of patients, including pediatric populations, who are unable to maintain adequate trace element levels through oral or enteral intake. The formulation typically includes zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, iodine, and fluorine.
