Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Multivalent reassorted attenuated live rotavirus vaccine is an oral vaccine candidate developed by Shandong Yidu Biotechnology for the prevention of rotavirus-induced gastroenteritis. The vaccine utilizes human-origin reassortant rotavirus strains acquired from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2018 and is produced using Vero cell culture technology. As a multivalent formulation, it is designed to provide broader protection against multiple rotavirus serotypes compared to monovalent alternatives by inducing both mucosal and systemic immunity. The project is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
