Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A multivitamin and mineral formulation used as a placebo control in a randomized, double-blinded clinical trial conducted by An-Najah National University. The trial was designed to compare the effectiveness of single-dose oral oxycodone versus pregabalin as preemptive analgesia for postoperative pain control in adults undergoing elective surgeries such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, submucosal resection, breast lumpectomy, or median laparotomy. The formulation contains a comprehensive blend of vitamins (A, B1, B2, B12, C, D3, E, biotin, nicotinamide, calcium pantothenate, and folic acid) and minerals (iron, calcium, magnesium, iodine, manganese, phosphorus, copper, molybdenum, and zinc). The study associated with this intervention was retracted due to non-compliance with Palestinian Ministry of Health regulations.
