Overview
Bio-tech + omega-3 is a combination immune nutrition intervention evaluated for its impact on postoperative outcomes in bladder cancer patients. The regimen consists of Bio-tech, a powder containing multivitamins and essential amino acids, and omega-3 plus, which provides omega-3 fatty acids. Administered perioperatively (one week before and two weeks after radical cystectomy), the combination is designed to modulate the immune response and reduce inflammatory complications. The intervention was studied in a Phase IV trial (NCT03147586) led by Mansoura University to assess its efficacy in decreasing 90-day morbidity following surgery. The components work synergistically to support protein synthesis and suppress pro-inflammatory cytokine production during the surgical recovery period.
