N-(5,6-Diphenylfuro[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-YL)glycine is a synthetic small molecule compound with the molecular formula C20H15N3O3 and a molecular weight of approximately 345.35 g/mol. It is classified as an experimental drug and has not been approved for clinical use in any country. The compound functions as an inhibitor of serine/threonine-protein kinase Chk1 (Checkpoint kinase 1), which plays a key role in cell cycle regulation and DNA damage response pathways. By inhibiting Chk1 activity (IC50 ~22.9 μM), this molecule may have potential applications in cancer research or therapy by interfering with tumor cell survival mechanisms under genotoxic stress conditions. However, there are no reported clinical trials or approved indications for this agent to date.[1][2][5]
