NA-831 + dexamethasone is an investigational oral combination therapy comprising NA-831 (also known as Traneurocin), a small molecule neuroprotective agent which exhibits neurogenesis and memory-enhancing properties, and dexamethasone, a widely used synthetic glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive activity. NA-831 is designed to facilitate neurogenesis and restore cognitive function, particularly in Alzheimer's disease by promoting regeneration of neurons in areas affected by memory loss. Dexamethasone reduces inflammation and is also being evaluated for its potential to modulate neuroinflammation and improve outcomes in conditions such as COVID-19 and neurological diseases. The combination is under clinical investigation for prophylaxis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and early/moderate COVID-19, aiming to leverage synergistic effects between neuroprotection, neurogenesis, and inflammation control[1][3][6][9].
