Nab-TPC is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of nab-paclitaxel (nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel), cisplatin, and capecitabine. This regimen has been studied as a first-line treatment for recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Nab-paclitaxel is a taxane chemotherapeutic agent formulated with albumin nanoparticles to improve delivery and reduce hypersensitivity reactions compared to conventional paclitaxel. Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic that induces DNA crosslinking, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. Capecitabine is an oral prodrug converted to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) in the body, which inhibits thymidylate synthase and disrupts DNA synthesis. The combination aims to maximize antitumor efficacy through complementary mechanisms of action targeting cell division and DNA replication pathways[3][6][7].
