Overview

The combination of nab-paclitaxel and ricolinostat (ACY-1215) has been studied in clinical trials for metastatic breast cancer. This combination therapy has shown promising results, particularly in hormone receptor-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer patients. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel, a taxane chemotherapy agent. Ricolinostat is a selective histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) inhibitor that has shown potential anticancer activity. The combination was investigated in a phase 1b clinical trial (NCT02632071) to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and evaluate its safety and tolerability.
