Nano-hydroxyapatite + fluoride is a combination dental formulation used primarily for the prevention of dental caries (cavities) and the reduction of dentinal hypersensitivity. Nano-hydroxyapatite (nHA) is a synthetic form of hydroxyapatite engineered at the nanoscale to closely mimic the natural mineral component of tooth enamel and dentin. It acts by penetrating enamel porosities, forming a protective coating on teeth, promoting remineralization, reducing sensitivity, and potentially inhibiting bacterial adhesion[1][2][6][7]. This combination may be found in certain prescription or over-the-counter dental gels or pastes.
