Naoxin'an capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, including acute ischemic stroke and coronary heart disease. The formulation is designed based on TCM principles to promote blood circulation, resolve blood stasis, and tonify qi. It contains a complex mixture of herbal and animal-derived ingredients, such as *Panax ginseng*, *Salvia miltiorrhiza*, and *Hirudo* (leech). The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 4 observational studies in China to assess its real-world clinical effectiveness, safety, and economic impact in adult patients with acute ischemic stroke, particularly those with comorbid coronary heart disease and specific TCM syndrome elements.
