Napabucasin + temozolomide is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of recurrent or progressed glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Napabucasin is a first-in-class cancer stemness inhibitor that suppresses cancer stemness by targeting STAT3-driven gene transcription. Temozolomide is a chemotherapy drug commonly used in the treatment of glioblastoma. The combination has shown encouraging anti-tumor activity in clinical trials, with a disease control rate of 55.5% and partial response rate of 44.4% in evaluable patients with recurrent glioblastoma.
