Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OKSON D3 is a fixed-dose combination pharmaceutical product developed and marketed by Humax Pharmaceutical, a Colombian subsidiary of Bausch Health. It contains the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) **naproxen** and **cholecalciferol** (Vitamin D3). The product is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, particularly in patients who are at risk of Vitamin D deficiency. Naproxen provides relief from pain and inflammation by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), while cholecalciferol helps maintain bone health and calcium balance, which is often compromised in patients with chronic joint diseases or those on long-term medication.
