**Naproxen + esomeprazole** is an oral fixed-dose combination marketed as **Vimovo**. It combines naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits cyclooxygenase-mediated prostaglandin synthesis to relieve arthritis-associated pain and inflammation, with esomeprazole magnesium, a proton-pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion and lowers the risk of naproxen-associated gastric ulcers. The multilayer delayed-release tablet releases esomeprazole first and contains an enteric-coated naproxen core.
