**Naproxen sodium + diphenhydramine** is an oral fixed-dose over-the-counter analgesic and nighttime sleep-aid combination marketed by Bayer as **Aleve PM**. Each film-coated caplet contains naproxen sodium 220 mg and diphenhydramine hydrochloride 25 mg. Naproxen is a nonselective cyclooxygenase inhibitor that reduces prostaglandin-mediated pain and inflammation, while diphenhydramine is a sedating histamine H1 receptor inverse agonist used to help patients fall asleep and stay asleep. The product is indicated for temporary relief of occasional sleeplessness associated with minor aches and pains in adults and children aged 12 years and older.
