Overview

This is a combination product containing two botanical extracts: - **Narcissus tazetta bulb extract** is derived from the bulbs of the Narcissus tazetta plant (commonly known as paperwhite or Chinese sacred lily). It contains bioactive compounds such as alkaloids (notably narciclasine), flavonoids, phenolic acids, and terpenoids. The extract has demonstrated antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral, anticancer, neuroprotective, and anti-aging properties in preclinical studies. Mechanistically, it can inhibit acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase enzymes and may protect against oxidative stress[1][2][4][5][7][9]. In dermatology and cosmetics it is used for its skin conditioning effects including anti-wrinkle activity and inhibition of undesired hair growth[3]. - **Novel hemp extract** refers to an oil or aqueous preparation derived from industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa) that typically contains cannabinoids such as cannabidiol (CBD) but low levels of THC. Hemp extracts have been studied for their potential to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, support cardiovascular health by improving HDL cholesterol levels[10], reduce anxiety/depression symptoms via modulation of brain receptors involved in mood regulation[6], provide antioxidant benefits for skin health[8], support sleep quality[10], exhibit antipsychotic effects in certain neurological conditions[6], and possibly aid in substance use disorders. The combination aims to leverage the complementary antioxidant/anti-inflammatory/neuroprotective properties of both plant extracts for wellness or cosmetic applications.
