Naringin + sericin is a combination of two natural compounds—naringin, a flavonoid glycoside derived from Citrus maxima (pomelo), and sericin, a protein extracted from the silk of Bombyx mori. This combination has demonstrated significant anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects in preclinical studies. Specifically, it acts by downregulating the expression and production of key pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-6, IL-23, and IL-12p40 in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (hPBMCs) from patients with psoriasis. The inhibitory effect on these cytokines is more potent when both agents are used together compared to either alone. The primary investigated indication is psoriasis; however, its mechanism suggests potential utility in other inflammation-associated diseases. The combination may be considered as an adjunct or complementary therapy alongside conventional treatments for inflammatory skin conditions[1][2].
