NB-1008 (BlueWillow Biologics)

NB-1008 is an intranasal influenza vaccine candidate developed by BlueWillow Biologics (formerly NanoBio Corp) utilizing the proprietary NE01 nanoemulsion adjuvant platform. The vaccine consists of influenza virus antigens, typically recombinant hemagglutinin or inactivated virus, mixed with a surfactant-stabilized soybean oil-in-water nanoemulsion. Unlike traditional injectable vaccines, NB-1008 is administered intranasally to elicit both systemic (IgG) and mucosal (IgA) immune responses, as well as a robust Th1-skewed cellular immunity. The nanoemulsion droplets, approximately 460 nm in size, facilitate antigen uptake by dendritic cells and provide an adjuvant effect without the need for traditional toll-like receptor (TLR) agonists. It has been evaluated in clinical trials for seasonal influenza and pandemic strains such as H5N1.
