Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NBM-BMX + temozolomide is an investigational **combination therapy** under clinical development primarily for the treatment of newly diagnosed glioblastoma. NBM-BMX is a novel, orally available, selective inhibitor of **histone deacetylase 8 (HDAC8)**, developed by NatureWise Biotech & Medicals Corporation, and is being tested in combination with **temozolomide**, a standard-of-care oral alkylating chemotherapeutic agent. Preclinical studies show that NBM-BMX may overcome temozolomide resistance by suppressing β-catenin/c-Myc/SOX2 signaling pathways, upregulating WT-p53 mediated MGMT inhibition, and inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest. The combination is currently in phase Ib/II trials for glioblastoma and solid tumors, combined with radiotherapy in select arms[3][4][6][8][10].
