Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NC318 + nab-paclitaxel + carboplatin is an investigational combination therapy being explored primarily for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors, especially non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). NC318 is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody targeting Siglec-15, an immunosuppressive protein in the tumor microenvironment; its blockade enhances anti-tumor T cell activity. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel that inhibits cell division by stabilizing microtubules, and carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy that induces DNA damage, leading to tumor cell death. Preclinical and early clinical data suggest potential synergy of NC318’s immune effects with cytotoxic agents, such as nab-paclitaxel and carboplatin, in sensitizing resistant tumors and broadening response in immunotherapy-refractory settings[5][7].
