Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Nebivolol + valsartan** is an oral fixed-dose antihypertensive combination comprising nebivolol, a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist with vasodilatory nitric-oxide-related activity and beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonism, and valsartan, an angiotensin II type 1 receptor antagonist. It was developed by Forest Laboratories and originally marketed in the United States as **Byvalson** for treatment of hypertension; the original 5 mg/80 mg product received FDA approval in 2016. A generic branded product, **Vyduo**, was subsequently approved for the same active-ingredient combination.
