Overview

This asset is a first-in-class small molecule necroptosis inducer being developed by Mosaic ImmunoEngineering under an exclusive option agreement with Oncotelic Therapeutics. The therapy is designed to activate the necroptosis pathway, a form of programmed, pro-inflammatory cell death that is distinct from apoptosis. By inducing necroptosis, the drug aims to release damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) and tumor antigens into the microenvironment, thereby stimulating a robust systemic anti-tumor immune response. This approach is intended to convert immunologically "cold" tumors into "hot" tumors, potentially overcoming resistance to current immunotherapies such as checkpoint inhibitors. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development for various oncology indications.
