Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of nedaplatin (a second-generation platinum drug) and pemetrexed (an antifolate antineoplastic agent). This combination is primarily used for the treatment of advanced lung adenocarcinoma, showing high efficacy and good patient tolerance. Nedaplatin exhibits similar therapeutic effects to cisplatin but has 10-fold greater water solubility and lower nephrotoxicity and gastrointestinal toxicity. Its major dose-limiting toxicity is bone marrow suppression. Pemetrexed is an antifolate antineoplastic agent that works by disrupting folate-dependent metabolic processes essential for cell replication.
