Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of nedaplatin, a second-generation platinum derivative, and vindesine, a vinca alkaloid. Nedaplatin works by binding to DNA bases and inhibiting DNA replication, similar to other platinum compounds but with less nephrotoxicity and gastrointestinal toxicity. Vindesine acts as a microtubule inhibitor, disrupting cell division. This combination has been studied primarily for the treatment of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
