NEO-PTC-01 + interleukin-2 is a **combination therapy** designed for **adoptive cell transfer** in cancer immunotherapy, primarily targeting advanced or metastatic melanoma. **NEO-PTC-01** is an autologous personalized T cell therapy product, derived from a patient's own peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). These T cells are ex vivo expanded and specifically primed to target neoantigens—unique, patient-specific antigens that arise from tumor mutations—displayed by the individual's tumor. The ex vivo manufacturing process (proprietary NEO-STIM) results in multiple neoantigen-specific CD8+ and CD4+ T cell populations, including both memory and de novo T cells, aimed at achieving durable and tumor-specific immune responses. **Interleukin-2 (IL-2)**, a cytokine, is administered alongside to support the proliferation, survival, and activity of the transferred T cells post-infusion, enhancing the expansion and function of the adoptively transferred lymphocytes in vivo[2][3]. Development is primarily for patients with advanced solid tumors (notably metastatic melanoma) refractory to other immunotherapies such as checkpoint inhibitors. NEO-PTC-01 was originally developed by Neon Therapeutics, and is now associated with BioNTech.
