Overview

The neoantigen dendritic cell vaccine developed by the National Cancer Centre, Singapore, is an autologous cell-based immunotherapy designed for the adjuvant treatment of resected hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and colorectal cancer liver metastases (CRLM). The vaccine is produced by identifying unique, patient-specific tumor mutations (neoantigens) through genomic sequencing of the resected tumor tissue. These neoantigens are then used to pulse the patient's own harvested dendritic cells, which are matured and re-administered via intra-dermal injection. The goal is to prime and activate the patient's T-cells to recognize and eliminate residual micrometastatic disease. In clinical development (e.g., NCT04912765), this vaccine is evaluated in combination with the immune checkpoint inhibitor nivolumab to synergistically enhance the anti-tumor immune response.
