NeoFuse + Mastergraft Granules is a **combination therapy** comprised of the biologic agent NeoFuse and the synthetic bone graft substitute Mastergraft Granules. NeoFuse is a recombinant protein-based therapy designed to promote bone regeneration and fusion at surgical sites. Mastergraft Granules are resorbable ceramic granules (typically beta-tricalcium phosphate/hydroxyapatite) that function as a bone void filler and scaffold for new bone growth. This combination, when used in spinal fusion surgeries, acts both by biologically promoting bone growth (osteoinduction, primarily via the growth factor activity of NeoFuse, such as BMPs) and providing a physical scaffold for bone and tissue in-growth (osteoconduction, via Mastergraft Granules). Primary indications include enhancing bone fusion and healing during spinal surgery (e.g., cervical and lumbar fusion, spondylolisthesis, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis)[5][1][9]. Clinical trials have been conducted for multi-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, and posterolateral lumbar fusion[5][7]. The product is developed by Mesoblast, with Mastergraft Granules manufactured and distributed by Medtronic.
