Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aruna Bio is developing a platform that utilizes neural cell-derived exosomes as delivery vehicles for various therapeutic payloads to treat central nervous system (CNS) diseases. These exosomes are naturally derived from neural stem cells and possess an innate ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and target neural tissues. The platform is designed to be loaded with additional therapeutic agents, such as small interfering RNA (siRNA), messenger RNA (mRNA), proteins, or small molecules, to enhance their delivery and efficacy within the brain. This approach leverages the biocompatibility and tropism of neural exosomes to address the challenges of delivering complex therapeutics to the CNS.
