This experimental DNA vaccine, developed by the Belarusian Research Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology, is an investigational immunotherapy for relapsed neuroblastoma. The vaccine utilizes a dual-delivery platform: an intramuscular injection of a DNA-polyethylenimine (PEI) conjugate and an oral administration of an attenuated *Salmonella enterica* serovar typhimurium strain (SS2017) carrying the DNA plasmids. The vaccine constructs encode three neuroblastoma-associated antigens—tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), PHOX2B, and survivin—each fused to the potato virus X coat protein (PVXCP) to enhance the immune response. This strategy is designed to overcome immune tolerance and stimulate a robust T-cell response against tumor cells. It is currently being evaluated in a pilot clinical trial (NCT04049864) to assess safety and immunogenicity in pediatric patients.
