Overview
Nice 'n Clear is an over-the-counter, neem oil–based topical head lice lotion marketed as a natural pediculicide for eradication of Pediculus humanus capitis (head lice). It is formulated with neem seed oil and other essential oils, and is designed to kill lice and their eggs via a physical and biochemical pediculicidal effect rather than through conventional neurotoxic insecticides such as permethrin or malathion.[6][8][14] The product is applied to the scalp and hair for a short contact period (around 10 minutes in commercial directions) before rinsing, and is used primarily for community and household treatment of head lice infestations.[14]
