**Niclosamide + dichlorophen** is a combination of two anthelmintic drugs used for the treatment of parasitic infections. Niclosamide inhibits oxidative phosphorylation and stimulates adenosine triphosphatase activity in the mitochondria of cestodes (tapeworms), disrupting parasite metabolism and causing death of the worm. Dichlorophen is also an anthelmintic agent, commonly advocated for tapeworm infections, that disrupts the parasite's energy metabolism, leading to its death. This combination has been evaluated for the treatment of intestinal fluke infections such as Fasciolopsis buski, as well as for tapeworm infestations, with dichlorophen demonstrating higher efficacy in some studies. The combination may exploit differing mechanisms and broaden spectrum against various helminths. Both agents act locally in the gastrointestinal tract and have limited systemic absorption.
