Nicotine patches + bupropion is a combination pharmacological treatment for nicotine dependence, specifically evaluated in the ConNic3 trial by Duke University. The regimen utilizes transdermal nicotine patches to provide a controlled dose of nicotine, reducing withdrawal symptoms by acting as an agonist at nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs).
