Overview

Nimenrix + Infanrix hexa refers to the co-administration of two pediatric vaccines developed by GSK: Nimenrix, a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine, and Infanrix hexa, a hexavalent combination vaccine. Infanrix hexa is indicated for primary and booster vaccination against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, poliomyelitis, and invasive diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). Nimenrix provides active immunization against invasive meningococcal diseases caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y. The co-administration of these vaccines has been evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials to demonstrate non-inferiority in immunogenicity and safety compared to individual administration, aiming to streamline infant and toddler immunization schedules by reducing the number of required injections.
