Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Doloserch is a fixed-dose combination of nimesulide (100 mg) and paracetamol (325 mg or 375 mg), developed and marketed by Healthkind Labs. It is indicated for the short-term treatment of acute pain, fever, and inflammatory conditions, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, muscle pain, backache, toothache, and pain in the ear and throat. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis at inflammatory sites. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is an analgesic and antipyretic that acts primarily in the central nervous system to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis and elevate the pain threshold. Doloserch is administered orally as a tablet.
