Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Nimotuzumab** is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting the extracellular domain of epidermal growth factor receptor. It inhibits EGFR ligand binding and receptor activation, thereby suppressing EGFR-driven tumor-cell proliferation and survival signaling; Fc-mediated antitumor immune activity may also contribute. The term \"Nituzumab\" in the Fujian Medical University Cancer Hospital cervical-cancer trial is a spelling variant of nimotuzumab. In NCT06455072, nimotuzumab is being evaluated intravenously with serplulimab and stereotactic body radiotherapy for recurrent advanced cervical squamous cell carcinoma after prior treatment.
