Overview

Nivolumab + cabiralizumab is a combination immunotherapy approach that pairs two distinct mechanisms of action. Nivolumab is a PD-1 inhibitor that blocks the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, thereby enhancing T-cell function. Cabiralizumab is a CSF1R (Colony Stimulating Factor 1 Receptor) inhibitor that targets tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs). The combination aims to overcome resistance to PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors by simultaneously enhancing T-cell activity and reducing immunosuppressive macrophages in the tumor microenvironment.
