Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of nivolumab, a PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor, and viagenpumatucel-L (HS-110), an allogeneic cellular vaccine derived from a human lung adenocarcinoma cell line transfected with the gp96-Ig fusion protein. This combination is designed to enhance immune responses against tumor antigens while blocking immune checkpoint pathways. The secreted gp96 from viagenpumatucel-L acts as a chaperone to induce cellular immune responses to tumor antigens, while nivolumab prevents the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction that cancer cells use to evade immune detection.
