NKF-INS(A)

NKF-INS(A) is a biosimilar rapid-acting insulin analogue of insulin aspart, developed by Xentria in collaboration with Nanjing King-Friend Biochemical Pharmaceutical. It is designed to be highly similar to the reference products NovoLog and NovoRapid. As a rapid-acting insulin, NKF-INS(A) mimics the physiological insulin response to meals, providing quick onset of action to manage postprandial glucose levels. The drug exerts its therapeutic effect by binding to the insulin receptor, which facilitates glucose uptake into skeletal muscle and adipose tissue while simultaneously suppressing hepatic glucose production. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control in both adult and pediatric patients.
