NM57S + NC08 is a combination of two monoclonal antibodies developed as a rabies virus neutralization therapy. The drug acts as an inhibitor of the rabies virus glycoprotein (RABV-G), thereby neutralizing the rabies virus and preventing infection. It was initially developed by North China Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., with clinical development conducted by its subsidiary, NCPC New Drug Research & Development Co. Ltd. The primary indication is for post-exposure prophylaxis or treatment of rabies in humans. Clinical trials have evaluated its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, neutralizing antibody activity, and immunogenicity in healthy volunteers[1][3][8].
