Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Noglux is a combination nutraceutical developed by Bioksan for the management of prediabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and reactive hypoglycemia. The formulation contains a standardized extract of white mulberry leaf (Reducose), which is rich in 1-deoxynojirimycin and acts as a competitive alpha-glucosidase inhibitor to slow carbohydrate absorption and blunt postprandial glucose spikes. It also includes fenugreek extract, an activator of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) that enhances insulin sensitivity, alongside the prebiotic fiber inulin and the probiotic strain Lactiplantibacillus plantarum A7 to support gut microbiota health. Essential micronutrients, including niacin, chromium, and zinc, are incorporated to support insulin synthesis and macronutrient metabolism. Clinical studies have demonstrated that Noglux significantly reduces insulin resistance, improves lipid profiles, and decreases the frequency of hypoglycemic episodes in patients with postprandial reactive hypoglycemia.
