Nomacopan + oral corticosteroids is a combination regimen involving **nomacopan**, a recombinant protein that selectively inhibits both complement component C5 and leukotriene B4 (LTB4), and **oral corticosteroids**, a class of synthetic glucocorticoid drugs that act as immunosuppressants. Nomacopan works by binding and neutralizing C5, preventing its cleavage to the potent inflammatory mediator C5a and the membrane attack complex component C5b, as well as directly neutralizing LTB4, a chemoattractant for neutrophils.
