Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CNT-EMG-03 is a value-added formulation of norepinephrine (noradrenaline) being developed by Centurion as a self-injection system (auto-injector). While norepinephrine is traditionally administered via intravenous infusion in hospital settings to treat acute hypotension and shock, this drug-device combination is designed for rapid, intramuscular or subcutaneous administration in emergency scenarios. As a potent alpha-1, alpha-2, and beta-1 adrenergic receptor agonist, norepinephrine induces peripheral vasoconstriction and increases cardiac output, making it a critical intervention for maintaining blood pressure in life-threatening cardiovascular conditions.
