Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of norfloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic, with synbiotics (probiotics and prebiotics). Norfloxacin works by inhibiting DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes necessary for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. The synbiotic component would theoretically help restore beneficial gut bacteria that might be affected by the antibiotic treatment.
