Overview

A fixed-dose combination of the tricyclic antidepressant nortriptyline and the B12 vitamin methylcobalamin. Nortriptyline acts by increasing the levels of neurotransmitters (norepinephrine and serotonin) in the synaptic cleft, which helps modulate pain signals in the central nervous system. Methylcobalamin is a coenzyme form of vitamin B12 that promotes the production of myelin, the protective covering of nerve fibers, and aids in nerve cell regeneration. This combination is primarily indicated for the management of neuropathic pain, such as diabetic peripheral neuropathy and post-herpetic neuralgia.
