Overview

NRC-2694-A + paclitaxel is an investigational combination therapy consisting of NRC-2694-A—a small molecule, orally available epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor—and paclitaxel, an established microtubule inhibitor chemotherapeutic. NRC-2694-A is designed to block EGFR-mediated signaling, which plays a key role in tumor proliferation and survival, particularly in squamous cell cancers. Paclitaxel disrupts cell division by stabilizing microtubules, resulting in apoptosis. This combination is being developed for patients with recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) who have progressed on or after immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. NRC-2694-A is being developed and tested by Natco Pharma.
