Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NRCT-101SR + NRCT-202XR is an investigational combination drug comprised of two distinct agents, NRCT-101SR and NRCT-202XR, being developed primarily for the treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)[1][3][7][9]. NRCT-101SR is a sustained release formulation whose active ingredient (NRCT-101) modulates glutamatergic synaptic density and function, particularly in the prefrontal cortex, by increasing synaptic density and the number of functional presynaptic release sites, as well as improving executive function, memory, and emotional regulation in preclinical and early clinical studies[2][5][6]. NRCT-202XR is an extended-release agent co-administered at low or high doses in clinical trials, though its mechanism of action is less well described in public documentation. The combination is under evaluation in a randomized, double-blind, parallel, adaptive-design phase II trial to assess safety and efficacy compared to monotherapy and placebo, with focus on improving core symptoms of ADHD, cognitive function, and mood status, while maintaining a strong tolerability and safety profile[1][3][7][9].
