Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nutratopic pro-AMP is a topical dermo-cosmetic emollient developed by ISDIN for the prevention and management of atopic dermatitis (atopic eczema), particularly in infants and children. The product features a dual-action mechanism that restores the skin's physical barrier and reinforces its innate immune defense. Its key active ingredients include L-isoleucine, which stimulates the production of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs); Rhamnosoft (a rhamnose-rich polysaccharide), which inhibits bacterial adhesion (specifically *Staphylococcus aureus*) and provides anti-inflammatory activity; and Niacinamide, which enhances ceramide synthesis and reduces inflammation. Additional components like ceramides, glycerin, and shea butter further support lipid mantle restoration. It is formulated to be free of preservatives, perfumes, and dyes, making it suitable for sensitive pediatric skin from 5 months of age.
