Overview
**NVX-108 + temozolomide** is a combination therapy under clinical development for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme. NVX-108 (also known as NanO2 or DDFPe, dodecafluoropentane emulsion) is an intravenously administered oxygen therapeutic agent designed to increase tumor oxygenation and act as a radiosensitizer, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of concurrent radiation therapy. Temozolomide is a standard-of-care oral alkylating agent chemotherapy used in glioblastoma. In clinical trials, NVX-108 is administered intravenously before each fraction of radiation, while temozolomide is administered orally at standard dosing. The combination aims to improve outcomes in hypoxic brain tumors by sensitizing them to radiation and providing chemotherapeutic cytotoxicity. NVX-108 is owned and developed by NuvOx and has received Orphan Drug Designation for glioblastoma.
