Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NXP900 + osimertinib (Tagrisso) is an investigational drug combination consisting of NXP900, an oral small-molecule inhibitor of the SRC Family of Kinases (SFK), and osimertinib, a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor. NXP900 uniquely locks SRC and YES1 kinases in their inactive, closed conformation, thereby inhibiting both their catalytic and scaffolding functions. This complete pathway shutdown is designed to overcome acquired resistance to EGFR inhibitors. Osimertinib is widely used to treat EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The combination of NXP900 and osimertinib is being developed by Nuvectis Pharma and is currently in Phase 1b clinical trials for patients with advanced, EGFR-mutated NSCLC who have developed resistance to prior osimertinib therapy.
